Welcome! My name is Xiyao Song, the co-founder of Enerquest Consulting LLC, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you. My path began at The Pennsylvania State University, where I pursued dual bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Earth Sciences & Policy. While many might see these fields as disparate, I view them as complementary pieces of a larger puzzle—one that allows me to understand the intricate balance between financial growth and environmental sustainability. My journey has been fueled by a curiosity to explore how these disciplines intersect, shaping the future of the energy sector.

My Intention with This Company
The inspiration behind Enerquest Consulting was born during my time as an intern at Deloitte, where I had the opportunity to lead projects focused on system integration and process improvement. There, I witnessed firsthand the impact that strategic financial planning can have on a company’s sustainability initiatives. My intention with Enerquest is to empower organizations to navigate the complexities of renewable energy investments and ESG compliance. I believe that by marrying financial insights with sustainable practices, we can create solutions that not only drive profitability but also contribute positively to our planet.
My Passion for My Dual Majors
Choosing to study Finance and Earth Sciences & Policy was a conscious decision rooted in my belief in the interconnectedness of our world. During my internships, I witnessed how financial decisions can directly influence environmental outcomes and vice versa. This realization ignited my passion for finding ways to merge these two disciplines creatively. At Enerquest, I aim to harness this integrated perspective to develop strategies that promote both economic growth and environmental responsibility, demonstrating that these seemingly unrelated fields can come together to create a more sustainable future.
My Skills
Throughout my experiences, I have honed a diverse skill set that I bring to Enerquest. My proficiency in data analysis, tax strategy implementation, and risk management has been shaped by roles ranging from an agricultural research assistant, where I analyzed ethanol policy and its market implications, to my time at Deloitte, where I collaborated across departments to ensure project success. I leverage tools like Excel, R Studio, and Python to dissect market trends and inform strategic decisions. This analytical approach enables me to deliver tailored solutions that meet our clients’ unique challenges.

My journey is also marked by a deep passion for continuous learning. Whether it’s attending industry conferences, engaging in online courses, or staying updated on emerging technologies, I am committed to expanding my knowledge in the ever-evolving energy landscape.
